40 Below: Marquette County Young Professionals was created by the Lake Superior Community Partnership and is a professional development organization designed to engage and introduce young professionals to the County’s business community and help them expand their networking opportunities.

Events and activities are held at various locations throughout the County and are created in order to provide an opportunity for members to interact socially, exchange ideas and connect outside of the workplace.

Whether your goal is to develop your professional network, increase your social circle, better connect to civic and philanthropic activities in the community or just have fun, we have many activities and events created just for you!

Events

Drinks and Links: A free, members-only, social networking event held on the third Tuesday of every month at different venues through out the County from 5:00-7:00 pm.  Guests are treated to hors d'oeuvres and drinks, and are eligible to win prizes. 

 

Lunch & Learn:  Professional development seminars held at various locations throughout Marquette County and feature a guest speaker who will discuss  important issues and  topics facing Marquette County and its young professionals.  Registration and lunch begin at 11:30 am, with the presentation beginning promptly at 12:00 pm and running until 1:00 pm. Cost of the event is $10 for 40 Below members and $15 for non-members and includes lunch.

 Annual Brunch: A celebration and recognition banquet in which the “Four Under Forty” awards will be presented. This is the “don’t miss” event of the year!

Upper Peninsula Young Professionals Conference:   40 Below is hosting a conference geared toward young professionals to inspire both personal and professional development.  40 Below will provide conference attendees with speakers and breakout sessions chosen to help young professionals on “Life’s Great Adventure” with topics ranging from community involvement and organizational skills to personal finance, and everything in between.  This conference will help develop your professional network, increase your social circle and better connect you to your community.
